The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition; All The DLC Made Prettier

$10 If You Already Own Everything, More If You Don’t

There was a lot of hype over the release of The Outer Worlds and while it was an enjoyable romp, for many it didn’t quite live up to their expectations.   For one thing, once you hit a certain level and collected a few good weapons it became a bit of a walk in the park.  With the soon to be released The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition you will be able to reach level 99, which will likely do horrific things to game balance.

In addition to getting all the DLC in one shot, similar to the upgraded Witcher 3, the Spacer’s Choice Edition will feature improved graphics.   You will see improved explosions, weapons skins, better environments and particles, as well as dynamic wind, cloud, and sandstorm effects.  There will even be new NPC animations, which may help make the space station a little less drab.

The improvements do come at a cost, apart from the price, as the hardware requirements have jumped noticeably.   The bare minimum recommendations include a GTX 1060 6 GB or Radeon RX 590 paired with a Core i7 6700 or Ryzen 5 1600.  If you want to hit the recommended specs, you better have a RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT and an i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600.  You should make sure to have 16GB of RAM installed as well.

The game drops on March 7th, at which point we will have a better idea of pricing apart from the $10 upgrade if you own all the DLC to $60 if you don’t own the game at all.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
